  • Practice Owner

    Dr. Sara Makary is the practice owner and sole practitioner at Northpoint Dental. With a great bedside manner, an excellent staff, a well equipped, clean and welcoming facility, and most importantly a loving heart, Dr. Makary invites you to join the Northpoint Dental family. Come by and visit, here at Northpoint Dental, and see how she's bringing that old school family atmosphere back to dentisry.

    Biography

    With a warm heart and a keen eye for detail, Dr. Sara Makary brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to the world of dentistry in Florida. A proud graduate of the University of North Florida in 2010, she obtained her degree in Psychology before diving into the realm of dentistry at the University of Florida in 2014.

    Dr. Makary's commitment to the community is evident. Early in her career, she aligned her passion with purpose by offering her services to non-profit organizations, touching the lives of many in Jacksonville's underserved segments. Her collaborative spirit was further demonstrated through her association as a courtesy faculty with the University of Florida College of Dentistry, where she played an instrumental role in guiding budding dentists during their vital extramural rotations.

    In her belief that dentistry goes beyond just the technicalities and delves deep into personal interactions, she founded Northpoint Dental. This venture was her way of giving back to the Oceanway area – a place she's proud to call home.

    Dr. Makary's journey started in Egypt and took her to the shores of California during her teenage years. However, her heart found its true north in Jacksonville in 2003. Today, she's a proud resident of the North Jacksonville area, nurturing her growing family which includes her lively sons, Daniel and Aaron, and Olaf – their enormous white, Great Pyrenees.

    In the midst of her bustling life, Dr. Makary enjoys painting, loses herself in books, and thrives on family activities and regular workouts.

    For Dr. Makary, dentistry is more than just a profession; it's about making a difference, one smile at a time.

  • Patient Coordinator

    Brittany has been in the dental field for over 15 years and has lived in the Jacksonville area her whole life. She is passionate about getting to know each of our patients, ensuring they receive quality care, and guiding them through their dental journey with education and encouragement. In her free time, Brittany enjoys kayaking and spending time at the beach. She cherishes quality moments outdoors with her two children above all else.

  • Registered Dental Hygienist

    Mirayza began her dental journey over 20 years ago. She earned an Associate Degree in Dental Assisting with Expanded Functions in 2001 in her home country of Puerto Rico. After graduation, she moved to New York and worked as a four-handed dental assistant, gaining experience in dental assisting, insurance coordination, and front desk duties. Seeking to expand her skills, she enrolled in a Dental Hygiene program and, in 2007, returned to college to pursue her new degree. Mirayza completed her Dental Hygiene Associate Degree with honors in 2012. In 2013, she and her family relocated to Jacksonville, FL, where she worked as a dental assistant in a pediatric clinic while completing all requirements for her Florida RDH license. Mirayza is highly professional and passionate about her career, dedicated to helping and educating patients to achieve healthy, confident smiles

  • ental Assistant

    Nonah is a dedicated dental assistant with over four years of experience in the field of dentistry. She takes pride in helping patients and supporting their oral health, always striving to make each visit a positive experience. One of her favorite parts of the job is working alongside Dr. Sara; together, they bring laughter to the dental office and help patients feel relaxed and welcomed. Outside of work, Nonah and her husband live in Jacksonville, FL, with their beloved dog, Alana. They enjoy spending quality time together, especially outdoors, whether exploring nature or enjoying fresh-air activities as a family. In her free time, Nonah loves shopping, cooking, and baking for her husband and her puppy.
